Watch exclusive lessons from Equal Rights Institute's Equipped for Life Course, including some of their most important dialogue tips as well as their unique approach to trotting out a toddler. Afterwards, Josh Brahm from ERI will take YOUR questions!

  • The Virtue of Open-Mindedness: The virtue of open-mindedness and what it means and how it's different from wishy-washiness. ERI argues that open-mindedness is a good trait for pro-life people both for principled and pragmatic reasons.
  • Being Intentional With Your Body Language: On learning how to create a relaxed environment for dialogue, including lots of specific examples.
  • Asking Good Clarification Questions: You cannot change someone's view if you don't first understand what it is.
  • Why You Shouldn't Make Arguments with Question Marks: ERI encourage people to make arguments with statements, not questions. Use question marks for clarification questions.
  • The ERI Approach to Trotting Out a Toddler: Trotting out a toddler is a standard pro-life argument where you take an argument for abortion and ask if that argument would be a good argument for killing a toddler, to redirect the discussion to the question of whether the unborn is a human person. If the unborn is a human person, then poverty isn't a good justification for abortion, because it's not a good justification for killing a toddler. Learn the four-step process ERI has found to be the most effective way to trot out a toddler.
